Maurits de Bruijn
Maurits de Bruijn (b. 1984) is queer, Jewish, and grew up in a Protestant family. He works as an essayist, visual artist, podcaster, journalist and editor for an arts magazine. He has written three novels to date. His memoir 'Ook mijn holocaust' (My Holocaust Too, 2020), in which he explores how his mother’s wartime past shaped his childhood and life, was received to great critical acclaim in the Netherlands and has been translated into German.

His debut novel Broer (Brother) was published in 2012, followed in 2016 by De achterkant van de zon (The Back of the Sun).
