Letterenfonds brengt werkbezoek aan Caribisch deel van het Koninkrijk

Dit werkbezoek is een vervolg op de reis die twee jaar geleden door subsidiespecialisten naar de eilanden werd gemaakt. Destijds werden er waardevolle inzichten verzameld over de behoeften en wensen van lokale makers, instellingen en culturele organisaties. Op basis hiervan zijn veel subsidieregelingen van het fonds toegankelijker gemaakt voor aanvragers in het Caribisch deel van het Koninkrijk.

Doel van deze reis is om verder te bouwen aan een goede afstemming met lokale makers en organisaties. Ook wil het fonds de verbrede subsidiemogelijkheden onder de aandacht brengen. Door middel van netwerkbijeenkomsten en gesprekken worden potentiële aanvragers wegwijs gemaakt in ons subsidiestelsel, en maken ze kennis met de verschillende subsidiemogelijkheden.

De netwerkbijeenkomsten vinden plaats op de volgende momenten:

• Maandag 18 mei van 16.00 tot 18.00 uur  – Sint Maarten in Axum Art Café

• Dinsdag 19 mei van 16:00 tot 18:00 uur – Sint Eustatius in The Elma Building

• Woensdag 20 mei van 15.30 tot 18.00 uur - Saba in the Saba Heritage Center

• Vrijdag 22 mei van 15.30 tot 18.00 uur – Curaçao in The Triangle

• Zaterdag 23 mei van 10.00 tot 12.00 uur – Curaçao in Landhuis Bloemhof

• Maandag 25 mei van 10.00 tot 12.00 uur – Aruba in Museo Arqueologico Nacional Aruba

• Dinsdag 26 mei van 15.00 tot 18.00 uur – Bonaire in de Bibliotéka Publiko Boneiru

Het is niet nodig om te reserveren voor de bijeenkomsten. Voertaal van de netwerkbijeenkomsten is Nederlands (Bonaire en Curaçao) en Engels (Aruba, Saba, Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius).

From the 17th till the 27th of May, three staff members from the Dutch Foundation for Literature will visit the six islands in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom: Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten. During this visit, the Dutch Foundation for Literature will organise networking events for literary creators and organisations. Here, our staff will highlight the grant schemes and writers, translators and literary organisations will have the opportunity to ask questions.

This working visit follows a previous trip of the fund. At that time, valuable insights were gathered regarding the needs and wishes of local creators, institutions and cultural organisations.  Based on this, many of the foundation’s grant schemes have been made more accessible to applicants in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.

The aim of this trip is to further build on good coordination with local creators and organisations. Apart from that, we will highlight the expanded grant opportunities. Through networking events and discussions, potential applicants will be guided through our grant system and introduced to the various grant opportunities.

The  networking sessions will take place on the following dates:

• Wednesday 20th of May - from 3.30 till 6.00 pm - Saba at the Saba Heritage Center

• Friday 22th of May from 3.30 pm till 6.00 pm – Curaçao at The Triangle

• Saturday 22th of May from 10 am till 12.00 pm - Curaçao at Landhuis Bloemhof

• Monday 25th of May from 10.00 am till 12.00 pm – Aruba at Museo Arqueologico Nacional Aruba

• Tuesday 26th of May from 3.00 pm till 6.00 pm – Bonaire at the Bibliotéka Publiko Boneiru

No booking is required for the meetings. The language of the networking meetings is English (Aruba, Saba, Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius) and Dutch (Bonaire, Curaçao).
